Hello, my name is Wayne Lawton and I'm an amateur photographer.
I enjoy taking photos of just about anything that catches my eye, textures, shadows, angles, etc.
I really enjoy hiking around the San Francisco Bay Area and tend to drag my camera along on these excursions.
Most of these photos were taken with a Canon Rebel XTI
although there are also a few shots from various point and shoot cameras that I own.
Feel free to comment or offer advice, (Or criticism, I can take it),
and with any luck, as this blog progresses, so will my photo taking abilities.

The Year In Review...

Here are some shots that I took during the year that didn't really fit into my other posts.
A number of black and white abstracts from here and there.

And a few from a trip we took out to Angel Island
to check out the newly restored Immigration Station.

Caught some great sunsets.

And moon and sunrises.

Some unusual cloud formations.

A double rainbow tinted pink by the setting sun.

Some fungi and flowers.

And some flowering fireworks.

Some unusual aerial displays like this helicopter
flying a couple of technicians over the bay
all suited up against high voltage.

Some nice reflections.

And last but not least,
some pebbles in the surf
a setting sun lighting up my living room wall and DVD collection
and a curious little blue belly lizard that posed on the fence for me.

Until next year.
