Hello, my name is Wayne Lawton and I'm an amateur photographer.
I enjoy taking photos of just about anything that catches my eye, textures, shadows, angles, etc.
I really enjoy hiking around the San Francisco Bay Area and tend to drag my camera along on these excursions.
Most of these photos were taken with a Canon Rebel XTI
although there are also a few shots from various point and shoot cameras that I own.
Feel free to comment or offer advice, (Or criticism, I can take it),
and with any luck, as this blog progresses, so will my photo taking abilities.

Some shots from a few photo shoots that I attended in the last few months.
Shortly after my last post, I visited the US Hornet in Alameda.
I definitely will need to make it back here.
I had some more ideas after looking at the photos that took that day.

In April I took a trip out to the Vernal Pools out by the bay.
Found some old cow bones and some cows.

Also found some flowers and mushrooms.

Saw my first Civil War re-enactment up in Duncan Mills.

Spent a day at the Berkeley Kite Festival in July.

Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont had a couple of Steam Trains rolling over Labor Day Weekend.
Got a couple of nice photos of them.

Also some model trains and other interesting things around the farm.

Last but not least, here are a couple of shots from just here and there.

I'll try to post a little more frequently as I haven't been posting here as often as I should.
So long for now.
